Recap: August-November 2017

Back home and back to school for Olivia and Camila:
4th and 2nd grades at Ewa Beach Elem.

Olivia started and led a "language arts club" at the beginning of the school year. We had many good meetings and library trips, but leading your peers is challenging, and she decided to take a step back and reevaluate the club idea.

as you can imagine, these 2 turn heads where ever they go.

Cousins came to visit!

Wonderful long weekend
at the Kaneohe Bay Sand Bar

(see that tiny speck out there, in front of the left island?
that's Olivia on an inflatable mattress.

Summer 2017

We spent the first half of summer in Hawaii.

We've come a long way and  learned a lot about playing in and on the ocean.

Had a pretty epic fathers day on our sweet Kaimana

And joy of joys, our BFFs from California came to visit!
We played and played and enjoyed every minute of their company.

July came and we hit the sky!
Off to the Adirondack Mountains and our Grammy & Grampy.

Camila loves to go fishing.

This is the view from Olivia's favorite spot.

where he proposed our marriage 27 years before.

And the very best part of every summer:
sharing love and family time
with these wonderful humans!

One of this summer's lessons was about being connected to people in lots of different places.
We had California friends visit us in June
and NYS cousins in August.
We love sharing our time at the lake house with family and friends.
AND spent time with our first Hawai'i friends
at the Sciencenter in Ithaca, NY

And we were rescued by old Costa Rica/kiteboarding friends
when I missed our flight in Boston

I love that O & C are experiencing this connectedness.
