Christmas at Cranberry Lake

We had a wonderful visit with my (Emily's) family at the cottage at Cranberry Lake in the NYS Adirondack Mountains over the Christmas-New Year holiday.

We had a little bit of almost every kind of weather. We had sub-zero - and 40-50 degree days. We had piles of snow - and hardly any. Liv, as always, was happily adaptable to all the conditions.

Here's Liv snuggled in Mom's jacket on a very cold afternoon.

Today's New Skill: Clapping

She's been interesting in hand-clapping, but hasn't really figured it out on her own until now.

Next question... will she still be able to do it tomorrow?

We're busy packing and preparing for our holiday trip to NY! Hopefully the weather is favorable for air-travel. We are so excited about spending Christmas in the Adirondacks with G'ma & G'pa King and Dan & Christina, too!!! YAY!!

Sing-A-Long

Friends invited us to join them at the Library for Spanish Sing-A-Long.

As soon as we sat down, Liv scrambled out of my lap & crawled to the center of the circle... I was like, uh, Liv... notice how most the other kids are sitting with their mommies?

Did she take the shaker from somebody, or was it given to her... I missed it...

A Storm in Alameda

Alameda had Weather today!!
Hail! Thunder! Rainbow!
Yipee!!

Liv bee-lined to the open door to check out the curious new situation

A little unsure at first...

A little more inspection

A little more observation

And back to usual temperment... Cool! Did you see this?
... And yes, she does have paint on her face...

We were doing "Arts & Crafts" at the Paint-Your-Own place.
