As a family we have been thoroughly enjoying our summer-time Friday nights at the Diablo Grande Clubhouse. The neighborhood kids run around the putting green and surrounding area, while the adults enjoy a beverage and burger and conversation on the patio where we can keep half an eye & ear on the pack of children.

Last weekend was exceptional because this beautiful California King Snake made an appearance.

Playing ball near the pond... inevitable that something/somebody is going in - at least none of the kids got wet beyond their knees (ha ha)

Top off a wonderful evening with marshmellows at the fire pit!

Hunting Coyote

This beautiful creature was hunting squirrels in our neighborhood the other morning.

I insisted that the girls and the dog were only go outside with ME for the next several hours. Because while I feel very confident that this coyote would avoid a full-grown adult human - I'm not really sure how she'd react if Bella charged at her barking, which she might... I just don't know.
