Olivia's First Day of Kindergarten

We've been looking forward to this day, and Olivia is READY.
Camila asked if she could stay home with me. "You Bet, Kiddo!"

I had a bit of a breakdown the weekend before, worrying about things I can't control... sigh.

Grampy, Olivia, Camila and I had a fun drive up after the church picnic (Grammy stayed one more night in Owego).

The next day we went to the diner for lunch - and ice cream!

Friday Night at the Clubhouse

As a family we have been thoroughly enjoying our summer-time Friday nights at the Diablo Grande Clubhouse. The neighborhood kids run around the putting green and surrounding area, while the adults enjoy a beverage and burger and conversation on the patio where we can keep half an eye & ear on the pack of children.

Last weekend was exceptional because this beautiful California King Snake made an appearance. 

Playing ball near the pond... inevitable that something/somebody is going in - at least none of the kids got wet beyond their knees (ha ha)

Top off a wonderful evening with marshmellows at the fire pit!
