Wild Center and Play at the Point

Rainy and windy at the cottage in the morning, we decided to head out to the WILD Center (Adirondack Museum of Natural History) and had a great time, checking out the exhibits and participating in the nature walk (the weather cleared nicely)

Tagging and releasing newly emerged Monarch Butterflies

Some fun afternoon play at the beach.

A large group of merganzer ducks huddled down on the rock at the point.

until we chased them off.

More CL

The weather has turned a bit cooler and cloudy, but that didn't stop the girls from wanting to go swimming and playing on the inner tube tethered to the dock.

"thumbs up" ready to pull in

Cousin Makaela is visiting for a few days this week and what a fun playmate she is!
the girls had a blast playing down on the beach after sunset.

More CL Fun

Our first days here at the lake have been warm and sunny - amazing & perfect  summer weather. Which means we've been enjoying things like late night dinners outside on the porch in t-shirts and shorts, swimming, and our first boat ride, and lots and lots of outside play and exploring.

More CL

Another beautiful day at Cranberry Lake: warm sunny weather.  We found Mickey Mouse dominoes at the consignment shop, and played on the dock!

 Had a nice nap. :)

Discovered new critters!

Enjoyed a late evening campfire - tried to keep the smoke out of our eyes...

Milk and stories at bed time.
aaahhhh, life is good!

Face Paint - First Attempt

Our first time doing face painting at home.

Seems to have passed muster with the preschool set!  Though I will be the first to admit that my technique could use some refinement. LOL

Food and Memories

We made these delicious stuffed zucchini boats last night.

And my memories turned to the summer that my Tante Margit was married.

There is much more to say on this topic but I just wanted to tell Mom and Margit that I love you, love sharing with you, and love being family with you.
