Cranberry Lake (part 5: Asher)

The kitten is rapturous with exploring the environment here. She runs, climbs, sniffs, digs, pounces, jumps and starts all over again!
She had an episode where a neighbor dog chased and nipped at her which scared and bruised her, she was shocked for almost a day, but got over it! And I bet, learned A LOT.

Mom & Dad's cat isn't all that happy to have any of us here - and especially not this little kitten, but she is tolerating us (barely). And I'm really glad we were able to bring Asher to come play with us, she's developing so fast.

Cranberry Lake (part 4: King Cousins)

Mike & Tracy, Declan, Emmett, and Isaac headed out this morning. We had such a great visit with the boys and their parents! Great times playing at the beach, having treats at the campfire, and just generally goofing around!

One, Two, Three, Jump!

S'Mores! mmmm

Cranberry Lake (part 3: King Cousins)

Mike & Tracy & their wonderful little boys came up to visit! The above picture is of 3-year-old Livvy and Emmett, showing off their stair climbing skills and super cheesy grins.

One-year-old Isaac and Camila showing off their belly buttons! (And practicing their cheesy grins.)

Six-year-old Declan supervising Livvy grinding coffee.

Our girls got to borrow clean clothes from our cousins! Thanks, guys!!

We enjoyed a great campfire & cook out. And story telling.
Followed up with ice cream cones!!! Woo-Hoo!

Cranberry Lake (part 2: swimming)

Cranberry Lake (part 1: travel)

Here we are at beautiful Cranberry Lake in the NY Adirondack Mountains. We've enjoyed a couple days of incredibly beautiful weather and an abundance of kind, generous, loving family. No luggage, but that wasn't even a problem - we are so well taken care of!

Of course, traveling with two toddlers and a pet is never totally uneventful. But it all went pretty well, considering. Airport security was, of course, a comedy. Shoes and jackets off everyone, kitten out of the carrier, id in hand and through the metal detector -- one at a time? right... no problem? We managed, and then waited, and waited, and waited for the luggage inspectors to get everyone's stuff back to them. So we're camped out at the end of the conveyor try to entertain ourselves and juggle a freaked out kitten a runaway one year old, and a curious three year old. So now I'm holding the wiggly kitten in one arm, and Camila in the other, and I'm asked to remove the tops off their sippy cups. (with my 3rd & 4th hands?) sure. no problem? It all gets done to their satisfaction, we get our shoes back on, our stuff repacked and headed out to our terminal where we rode the escalator for an hour. :-)

Hillmar Cheese Field Trip

We went on a fun field trip to a local cheese maker. It is always fun to hang out with the other mommies and our playgroup friends.

We watched a movie on the process.

And then the best part:
we made our own Ice Cream!!

Shake, Shake, Shake.
Roll, Roll, Roll.

peek-a-boo.  Is it ready?

mmmmm... It's ready!

oh. INSIDE... right.
mmmmmm..

 So much to see!

Then off to the snack bar, gift shop, and grounds.

Awesome waterfall.

We enjoyed a little picnic and some playtime.
