Grandparents Arriving on the Train

Grandma and Grandpa King arrived Wednesday afternoon at the Amtrak platform in Turlock/Denair. Liv, with the innate ability that all toddlers seem to have, found all the puddles, while we waited for the train to arrive! :)

Here comes the TRAIN!!!

Hoo-Ray! They're here!

We're so happy to have them staying with us!

That first night at dinner, as we all sat around the table, Liv signed & said to us "Many Family," "Big Family" with a big smile and looked around the table naming everyone. It was really a sweet moment!

No Baby Yet...

Hi!  Sorry I haven't posted recently.

All is well here.

No baby yet - I still think we'll hold out for the weekend. But hopefully not much past that! :)  My mom & dad arrive tomorrow - we're very excited about their visit - and would be under any circumstance, but are especially so this week!

Keep the happy thoughts coming! It's heartening to receive your well-wishes! Thanks!

Kid's Crafts at the Clubhouse

Hooray! Some ambitious mommy is spearheading a Kids Crafts program for the Diablo Grande residents. (and a Mommy's Group!! More on that later, the first meeting is at the end of the month - I have high hopes!)

Today was a canvas painting project.

Liv was BY FAR the youngest kid there, but hey, we can adapt!

More Golfing with Daddy

Liv loves golfing with her Daddy.

He got her a mini putter (we may have to cut it down even further).

working on our grip.

lining up the shot...

and the all important follow through

fun for everyone!

Other Fun

A few other highlights from the past week or so...

A hike out the back door

Liv occasionally asks me to open the "spice door" and every once in a while I oblige and we spend a few minutes opening the little jars and smelling what's inside. Naming the leaves and seeds and how else she knows them... like, "these leaves are 'oregano'. We use oregano on PIZZA!!"

Adventures in dress-up.
I think when she actually dresses herself she's going to dig this,
for now we'll stick with fun hats and shoes! LOL

Snow! (not really)

Ever since our new years trip through the Sierra to visit our friends in Nevada, Liv is excited about snow. Even pretend snow - of which we got a delivery just for her, it seemed!!!
